Sensors
Sensors appear in thousands of varieties. Many common types carry the measured information in resistance, voltage, current or in the case of bridges in the ratio of one of these.
Examples include Pt100 RTD's (resistors), thermocouples, strain gauges in pressure sensors etc.
Some interesting examples of sensors with deviant output signals are:
- The Smartec SMT130 temperature sensor with duty-cycle modulated output signal.
- Capacitive sensors for distance measurement, level gauging, humidity measurement or as an alternative for strain gauges.
